The Proprietor Jane Duboux, and the deputy manager / SENCO Karen Waren, have Early Years Foundation Degree to a level 5 Standard, and all supervisors are qualified to at least a Level 3 standard.
All staff are vetted by the Police and Ofsted and have completed basic Early Years Training and Safeguarding Children training.
The Pre-School is a member of The Pre-School Learning Alliance, this enables staff to keep up to date with best practice in Early Years Care and Education. As a member of the PSLA, we are able to liase with a PSLA Development Worker for latest training opportunities and issues. We follow PSLA policies.

A person qualified in Paediatric First Aid is always present at every session.
Volunteers are welcome at Clever Clogs, all visitors are supervised whilst in the setting, and long term volunteers are CRB checked.
Staff Ratios
We provide the following staff to child ratio for all children;
- 1-4 for 2 year olds
- 1-8 for 3-5 year olds
this is inline with government recommendations.
Key Person
Your child will be supported through their time at the setting by their key person, firstly by helping them settle in. The Key person will continue to work closely with you to ensure your child's developing needs and interests are met through the settings activities.
